چکیده
Abstract The new mineral tennantite-(Ni), Cu 6 (Cu 4 Ni 2 )As S 13 , has been discovered from the Luobusa Chromitite, Tibet, southwestern China. Tennantite-(Ni) occurs as anhedral grains ranging to 20 μm in size. In reflected light microscopy, tennantite-(Ni) is isotropic and appears yellow-greenish grey. Reflectance data for Commission on Ore Mineralogy wavelengths air are: 31.0 (470 nm), 29.6 (546 (589 nm) 29.3 (650 nm). Electron microprobe analysis holotype material gave empirical formula (on basis of total cations = 16 apfu): M (2) (1) [Cu 4.00 (Ni 0.97 0.53 Fe 0.50 ) Σ2.00 ] Σ6.00 X (3) (As 2.94 Sb 1.06 Σ4 12.77 . cubic, with space group I $\bar{ 4}$ 3 m (#217), a =10.2957(9) Å, V 1091.4(3) Å Z 2. New Type of Alkaline Rechargeable Battery—Ni-Ni Battery
The feasibility of utilizing disordered Ni-based metal hydroxide, as both the anode and the cathode materials, in alkaline rechargeable batteries was validated for the first time. Co and Mn were introduced into the hexagonal Ni(OH)2 crystal structure to create disorder and defects that resulted in a conductivity increase. The highest discharge capacity of 55.6 mAh ̈g ́1 was obtained using a comme...
متن کاملOmsite , ( Ni , Cu ) 2 Fe 3 + ( OH ) 6 [ Sb ( OH ) 6 ] , a new member of the cualstibite group from Oms , France
Omsite (IMA 2012-025) is a new mineral from the Correc d’en Llinassos, Oms, Pyrénées-Orientales Department, France. It occurs as bright yellow to amber yellow discoidal tablets, flattened on {001}, which form rosettes typically 50 100 mm in diameter. Omsite generally crystallizes on siderite without associated supergene minerals; it occurs less commonly with glaukosphaerite. Crystals have a vit...
متن کاملAnalyzing and Modelling the Corrosion Behavior of Ni/Al2O3, Ni/SiC, Ni/ZrO2 and Ni/Graphene Nanocomposite Coatings
A study has been presented on the effects of intrinsic mechanical parameters, such as surface stress, surface elastic modulus, surface porosity, permeability and grain size on the corrosion failure of nanocomposite coatings. A set of mechano-electrochemical equations was developed by combining the popular Butler-Volmer and Duhem expressions to analyze the direct influence of mechanical paramete...

متن کاملA functional Ni-Ni-[4Fe-4S] cluster in the monomeric acetyl-CoA synthase from Carboxydothermus hydrogenoformans.
In anaerobic microorganisms employing the acetyl-CoA pathway, acetyl-CoA synthase (ACS) and CO dehydrogenase (CODH) form a complex (ACS/CODH) that catalyzes the synthesis of acetyl-CoA from CO, a methyl group, and CoA. Previously, a [4Fe-4S] cubane bridged to a copper-nickel binuclear site (active site cluster A of the ACS component) was identified in the ACS(Mt)/CODH(Mt) from Moorella thermoac...
